It builds upon his work in the essay Adams cited in his JBOMS paper, and provides very strong evidence for pre-exilic &quot;proto-synagogues.&quot; If you have not, you might want to put the text onto your &quot;must read some day&quot; list (I offer a summary in my review of Ross Anderson&#039;s *Understanding the BOM* in FARMS 21/2, which will be published soon).</description>
