I was asked this question and I need help with a good answer.
Here is the question.
“Also, you never got back to me about your holy word. It says that “The book of mormon as does the bible contain the fullness of the everlasting gospel”
Why would I need another gospel if the bible contains the fullness of the everlasting gospel and there is nothing more I could ever use or need to attain a relationship with God. That makes zero sense whatsoever.
I really want an answer to THIS question above!”

Thanks for visiting our site. We believe that God continues to speak to His children. He spoke to those in the Old World and His words were recorded. He spoke to those in the New World–He loves His children no matter what ‘spiritual room’ they live in and doesn’t just speak to one child and not another, nor to one group of children and not another. He foretold this very thing in the Bible: “Other sheep I have which are not of this fold (not there in the Old World, but His sheep nonetheless, His children!)–them also must I see.” He visited those other children, inhabitants of America anciently, and a beautiful record remains of that visit and His gospel message in The Book of Mormon. The Bible and Book of Mormon are companion witnesses of Jesus Christ. They are true. They are scripture.
Additionally, the fulness of the gospel is contained in the Book of Mormon. The BIble has been in the hands of translators and copyists and some precious parts have been lost. Together, these testaments of Jesus Christ constitute the Word of God and are two witnesses of one God.
Just because God spoke once, doesn’t mean He has stopped speaking. If you are wanting to read The Book of Mormon as an honest seeker, we can arrange to have one sent. However, if you are here to attempt to dissuade or bash, we invite you kindly to use your energies in some other direction. I am personally a convert and I know and bear record that The Church of Jesus Christ is His re-established Church on earth. The Savior lives, and His gospel has been restored in its pure and unadulterated form.
